Events 2010

The spring season opens with a series of highlights: Carmina Burana, Brahms with Rudolf Buchbinder, Mahler with Gianandrea Noseda, Nordic favorites with Norwegian violinist Arve Tellefsen, Ravels's Daphnis and Chloé in complete ballet version, Hélène Grimaud with Schumann, Lawrence Renes and Heidi Stober with treasures from American music.

Mahler no. 7, the Oslo Philharmonic and Mariss Jansons

Recorded in 2009, released on Simax in November 2009. Selected as best classical release 2009 by the major Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten. Read also reviews in Gramophone?s January issue, and Financial Times, January 2nd.

The great Mahler-year

The centenary for Gustav Mahler's birth is marked by three great symphony performances this spring: No. 7 (February) with Gianandrea Noseda, No. 6 (March) and No. 5 (May), both with Jukka-Pekka Saraste.
